Disco Raja first week collections: A huge disaster
Ravi Tej hoped to start 2020 with a bang having missed an entire calendar year. In 2018, he had delivered a hat-trick of flops and there was no release in 2019. He was super confident that ‘Disco Raja’, which was released on 24th January this year, would put his career on the path of success. The science-fiction thriller would ring with the current audiences, he thought. But the boring narration with gangster elements in the second half didn’t strike a chord with the audiences.
In the first firs week, the film had collected mere Rs 7 crore worldwide. It did a pre-release business of approximately Rs 15 crore and it is going to lose up huge money.
Even more worrying factor for the star is that the film has proved that he is not able to pull the audiences to the theaters in the opening weekend.
Directed by Vi Anand, it starred Ravi Teja in the dual role of a gangster of ’80s and today’s youngster. Nabha Natesh and Paayal Rajput played the female lead. Thaman has given good numbers but his music has failed to save the film.
