The most-awaited films of 2020

2019 ended on a good note. 2020 promises to be bigger and better. Here’s the list of movies that are exciting for us to look forward to. 

Sarileru Neekevvaru

Sarileru Neekevvaru is the first Telugu biggie to come out in 2020. Mahesh has joined hands with director Anil Ravipudi who is known for out and out masala entertainers. The film has generated high buzz and done exceptional biz. This also happens to be veteran actor Vijayashanti’s comeback vehicle. Rashmika acting with a top star is also a first. The film releases this 11th of January.

Ala Vaikunthapurramloo

This film is one of the much-awaited films as it is the comeback vehicle of Allu Arjun after the disastrous flop of ‘Naa Peru Surya’. Bunny has joined hands with Trivikram for the third time and the songs have already become a rage. No biggie in recent times has created hype as this movie has successfully managed with its viral songs. The film has Pooja Hegde, Tabu and many other top stars. This is also scheduled for Sankranthi 2020.

Nishabdam

It has been over a year since we have seen Anushka on the big screen. She has paired up with Madhavan for Nishabdam and plays a mute in a thriller which is directed by Hemanth Madhukar. Among female movie stars, Anushka is the only heroine who commands craze and box-office pull like a top male star. This film is also much-awaited and releases on Jan 31st, 2020.

World Famous Lover & Fighter

Vijay Devarakonda is a star with huge potential and there is no denying that fact. 2019 was not a good year for him and he’s being his off-screen dynamics. This is an opportunity for him to bounce back. While ‘World Famous Lover’ is a romantic drama and will be out on the 14th of February as a valentine special release, Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Fighter’ is going to be the biggest movie in his career. The film will be launched shortly and it will be released in the second half of 2020.

Bheeshma

Nithin has given only flops in the last two years and has pinned all his hopes on this film Bheeshma. The film is directed by Venky Kudumula and has a good craze as it has Rashmika in a lead role. There is a good buzz for this film and it releases on the 21st of February.

V

For the first time in his career, Nani is trying an out and out action film and he will also be seen in a negative role in this film which is being directed by his mentor Mohana Krishna Indraganti. The movie stars Sudheer Babu as a hero. Many are curious to see what Nani has in store for us to see. The film releases on March 25th and is produced by Dil Raju.

Love Story

This one is not making that kind of noise but when the time of release comes near, it will be the most awaited one as it is directed by super-sensible director Shekhar Kammula and has Naga Chaitanya as the hero. Chaitanya has been on a winning spree of late. Sai Pallavi is the female lead. The film releases on April 2nd. 

Red

Dynamic hero Ram finally got back into the game with ‘Ismart Shankar’. He took a lot of time and joined hands with Kishore Tirumala for ‘Red’. The film is a very interesting story and Ram will be seen in a mass avatar once again. The film releases on the 9th of April.

Chiru152

This is another film which will be keenly awaited as it has megastar Chiranjeevi. The shooting is yet to start but the film will surely release in 2020. Koratala has not given flops to date and it will be very interesting to see how he will showcase Chiranjeevi in a mass avatar. The film will also have Ram Charan in an extended guest role.

KGF 2

The first part was a good hit and many are waiting to see how the second part is going to be as it involves some of the big names in the industry like Sanjay Dutt. The film will have a wide release and will be out in May 2020.

RRR

This is perhaps THE most-awaited film only as it is directed by none other than Rajamouli himself. The film stars NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles and also has Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and many others in key roles. Touted to be the costliest movie to date in India, ‘RRR’ is scheduled for the second half of 2020 release.

Jaan

Prabhas is resuming the shoot of ‘Jaan’ shortly. Though the film’s director lacks popularity, the trade and fans are eagerly waiting for this as Prabhas is today one of the biggest stars in India. The period romantic drama may hit the screens towards the end of the year.
