Tollywood calling for Bollywood heroines!

From Meenakshi Seshadri to Manisha Koirala, from Shilpa Shetty to Sonal Chauhan, from Aishwarya Rai to Anjala Zaveri, and from Preity Zinta to Pooja Batra many a Bollywood actress had a good stint in Tollywood. Our filmmakers regularly head to Mumbai to look for a glamourous face opposite our Tollywood stars. But from the past couple of years, heroines from Chennai, Bangalore, and Cochin have been dominating our screens.

Reversing the trend, filmmakers are again trying to rope in a popular Bollywood heroine for the big movies. Director Boyapati Srinu tried to bring in Sonakshi Sinha to Tollywood but his efforts went in vain. Top director SS Rajamouli has successfully managed to convince Bollywood’s top actress Alia Bhatt to pair up with Ram Charan in ‘RRR’.

Now we hear is that Janhvi Kapoor will make her Telugu debut. According to Bollywood media reports, Janhvi has signed to play opposite Vijay Deverakonda in director Puri Jagannadh’s ‘Fighter’. Even though there is no official word from Puri Jagannadh’s camp, Bollywood reports say that she has been paid whopping Rs 3.5 crore remuneration to act in ‘Fighter’.
