It was in August that Lyca Productions rolled out the dates on which key events related to '2.0' will be held. The first and foremost one is the audio release event. This one will be held on Oct 27th in Dubai. The audio event will be a gargantuan event high on lavishness and beyond. So much so, Lyca Productions is going to spend Rs. 12 Cr on this Burj Park event.

AR Rahman's LIVE performance will be the event's most sexiest affair. Next month, Hyderabad will host a grand event during which the sci-fi movie's teaser will be unveiled. Finally, the Trailer will be released in December at a Chennai event.

The film will release on 25 January 2018 in the highest number of theatres ever in the history of Indian cinema. China will see 15000 or so number of theatres opening to this Rajinikanth-Shankar magnum opus. Most probably, it will be a simultaneous release. The Telugu theatrical rights have been bagged by distributors for Rs. 81 Cr.
