Abhishek Pictures bets high on 'Manavoori Ramayanam'

Prakash Raj may not have had the BO ringing with 'Dhoni' and 'Ulavacharu Biryani', but the Telugu-Kannada bi-lingual, titled as 'Manavoori Ramayanam' in Telugu, could well be a sleeper hit of sorts.  

Set to release on Oct 7, the movie is jointly produced by Prakash Raj and First Copy Pictures.

The news is that, Abhishek Pictures, which has bought the movie outright and holds the rights for AP and Telangana, is betting high on it.  It views the message-oriented sensible entertainer as apt for the festival season.  In a year when 'Pelli Choopulu' has wowed everyone by becoming a huge hit for its budget, the company has big hopes from 'Manavoori Ramayanam'.

Starring Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Sathyadev and others, the human drama comes with the message that "there is a Rama and a Ravana in each one of us", to quote Prakash Raj. Maestro Ilaiyaraja's music is another high point.
