Going by the recent developments in Tollywood industry many are lauding popular producer Dil Raju. His grip on certain directors is being praised.

At one time, Dil Raju used to be known for his shrewdness in film business. Few years ago, he hardly failed as producer. Recently he has lost that glory as some of his recent productions turned out to be duds.

But suddenly he is getting praise after the failure of 'Brahmotsavam'. Director Sreekanth Addala is the discovery of Dil Raju. He debuted with 'Kotta Bangaru Lokam', a Dil Raju's production, that was a blockbuster. Then Addala directed 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' with big stars Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh, which was also Dil Raju's production. With this film, Addala became a top director. After the release of this film he broke with Dil Raju and moved to other producers.

His next immediate production was 'Mukunda' starring Varun Teja, which bombed and he received criticism for his direction. Still, Mahesh believed in him and gave the chance to direct 'Brahmotsavam' for PVP Cinema. The result is known to everyone now.

Two consecutive flops that he received with the productions he did outside Dil Raju's banner tells a clear message that he needs a strong hand to control him. This is why suddenly Dil Raju is getting praise.

Similarly, another Dil Raju's camp director Bhaskar didn't deliver any hits after he broke off with the producer. He made two hits - iconic 'Bommarillu' and highly appreciated 'Parugu' for Dil Raju. Later he moved out and made 'Orange', 'Ongolu Githa'.

The failure of these two directors have raised the name of Dil Raju. Of the directors Dil Raju introduced, only three Sukumar, Boyapati and Vamsi Paidipally succeeded outside his banner.
