The Telugu producers of 'Kabali' have bagged the movie for staggering amount of nearly Rs 27 Cr (including all expenses). The film is releasing this Friday in massive number of screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. "We are releasing in 333 screens in Telangana", said Abhishek, the distributor who is releasing the movie in Nizam area. Krishna Prasad Chowdhary and Praveen of Shanmukha films bought the rights of Telugu version.

The buzz around the movie is huge. The expectations are higher. The openings would be equally terrific. Still there are many doubts on the movie.

The movie needs to earn more than Rs 30 Cr share from theatrical revenue to give profits to the distributors. Can it bring in such huge amount? Rajinikanth has delivered massive hits in Telugu land when he teamed up with big directors like Shankar but his other movies didn’t perform that strongly. ‘Kabali’ is directed by Pa Ranjith, who is not known to Telugu audiences.

Will Rajinikanth create history now?
