KCR launches Gauthamiputra Satakarni

The 100th movie of Nandamuri Balakrishna titled 'Gauthamiputra Satakarni' was launched this morning (April 22nd) by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Megastar Chiranjeevi, Dasari Narayana Rao and Venkatesh also graced the occasion.
'Gauthamiputra Satakarni' is being directed by Krish and is produced on Firstframe Entertainments banner.
While KCR sounded the clapboard, Chiranjeevi switched on the camera. Venkatesh did operate the camera while Dasari directed the muhurat shot.
Chief Minister KCR praised Balakrishna for selecting the story of greatest emperor who created a great era in history of Telugus. He wished to watch the movie with the family members in the presence of Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and other Tollywood stories on the first day.
Chiranjeevi said the movie will be remembered for longtime and it will be jewel in the crown of Balakrishna's career. He also praised Krish for selecting a great theme. Venkatesh on the other hoped that the movie be screened in 1000 screens for 100 days.
"Krish coming up with this story of a king who won 33 provinces and Balakrishna accepting it is an achievement itself. Because of Satakarni today we are celebrating Ugadi every year," Dasari said.
