Kabali collects Rs 9 Cr in AP and Nizam

Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' expectedly smashed records and set a new record for a dubbed movie in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. The film has collected approximate Rs 9.10 Cr (share) in Nizam and Andhra Pradesh. The previous record was Shankar's 'I' that has raked in about Rs 7 Cr (share).

Pre-release buzz about Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' was phenomenal. So the movie expectedly collected on par with some of the biggest Telugu hits. Although the director is not know to the Telugu audiences, there is no glamorous heroine, audiences thronged to the theaters to watch the Rajinikanth in his new avatar.

In USA, the movie has already grossed about 2.6 million dollars on day 1 including the collection of 1.90 million dollars of premiere gross.
