Lakshmi Manchu to star in Basmati Blues

Lakshmi Manchu is not an unknown face in Hollywood. The actress has featured in several famous television serials like Las Vegas, Boston Legal, Mystery Er, Desperate Housewives and a couple of Hollywood films.

The actress will now once again act in a Hollywood film called Basmati Blues which will be directed by Dan Baron. This is his debut directorial venture. The film is about a scientist creates genetically modified rice with her father, and their boss sends them to India to sell it to rural farmers.

Currently the film is in post production and is getting ready to hit screens. Lakshmi has already finished dubbing her part during her recent visit to the USA.
