Samantha is acting in a Tamil film Nava Manmathudu with actor Dhanush. The actress said that acting in this film was like going back to the acting school itself. She had to give out her best and the role was very demanding. Samantha was in Hyderabad to promote the film. Hero Dhanush was present as well. Music for this film has been scored by Anirudh Ravichander. Senior stars like Radhika and K S Ravikumar are playing crucial roles in this film.
