October: Rs 240 Cr at stake in Tollywood

The month of October will see heavy rush of new releases with seven big movies have already confirmed their dates.  According to trade pundits, Rs 240 Cr of business is at stake on these movies in a single month.

October releases will begin with Vijay starrer Puli on 1st of the month and end with the release of Kalyan Ram’s Sher on 30th.

Business for the Telugu version of Puli is being done upwards of Rs 10 Cr. Next day two films are hitting the screens – Ram starrer Shivam and Varun Tej’s Kanche, together they would at least be doing the business of Rs 42 Crs.

Gunaskhekar’s magnum opus Rudramadevi 3D, which reportedly done a whopping business of Rs 60 Cr in all languages, is releasing on October 9th. Then Ram Charan will be coming on 16th with his latest movie, Bruce Lee The Fighter, which is expected to do business of about 60 Crs.

Akhil’s maiden movie, Akhil, has already closed its business for a record amount – 50 Crs. This movie is releasing on 22nd October.

Since Kalyan Ram’s Pataas became a big hit early this year, his new film, Sher, would definitely be sold for the tune of Rs 15 cr. All in all, 240 Crores of money is at stake in a single month on these seven movies alone.
