Producer Vivek's daugther Lakshmi's Arangetram

Ravindra Bharathi saw an evening of music, dance, intricate mudras navarasas, hard work and devotion on 27/2/2016 with the Arangetram of Kum K.Rashimitha and Kum K.A.Lakshmi.

Under the able guidance of their guru "Natayakala Saraswathi",Durgabai Deshmukh awardee, Smt. Chitra Narayanan, the duo left the audience spell bound.They started their performance with pushpanjali and a krithi Ananda Nartana ganapathi in Nata Raga invoking the blessing of Lord Ganesha.

The varnam Simhavahini in Sri Ranjani extolling the greatness of the three devis, the second half of which decribes the mother as Nataraja Manohari and Omkararupini was performed with grace .

Chandra Chooda a Purandara Dasa krithi depicting Kamadahana and Gangodhbava was performed aesthetically. Kum.Rashmitha performed an Annamacharya Keerthana  Indariki abhayammu in raga Kuranji characterizing the Dasavatharas.Kum.Lakshmi too performed an Annamacharya Keerthana Annimanthramulu in raga Amrithavarshini portraying  Bhaktha Prahladha. The two novices through these keertanas exhibited their prowess.

The thillana in Vasantha extolling the greatness of Ramabhaktha Hanuman saw intricate footwork and abhinaya.

Dance and music are two sisters that are inseparable. The excellent support rendered by the musicians helped the duo bring out the bhava, raaga,  taala of Bharatanatyam. Nattuvangam was rendered by smt.Chitra Narayanan ,vocal support Smt.Swetha Prasad, mridangam sri.Renuka Prasad, violin Sri.Chander Rao, flute Sri.Uma Venkatesh and percussions Sri.Sridharacharya .

The honorable guest for the evening Padmasree Dr.K.Brahmanandam and Smt.Lakshmi Brahmanandam commended the young artists on their excellent performance and wished them a wonderful future.

The mesmerised audience blessed the novices that they be showered with the grace of the Almighty.
