Rajamouli to get more than Rs 100 Cr?

There is no clarity as how much Rajamouli takes for a movie as remuneration. Industry observers say it can be anywhere between Rs 15 Cr to Rs 25 Cr. But the gigantic success of ‘Baahubali’ has changed all equations and today his brand equity is far bigger. 

After the release of ‘Baahubali’, Rajamouli has reworked with producers and is said to have asked them to give 50 percent share in the business of ‘Baahubali 2’ excluding the Telugu rights. In other words, Rajamouli will be gaining 50 percent of business done for the Tamil, Hindi versions and as well as Malayalam. 

Given the fact that Tamil rights were sold for Rs 45 Cr and Kerala rights bought the producers another Rs 10 Cr and Hindi rights would also be sold off to higher price, Rajamouli would be getting more than Rs 100 cr from ‘Baahubali 2’. This is inclusive of remuneration. So he is truly number one movie personality in India in terms of earning from a single movie.
