Superstar Rajinikanth who returned from USA to India is now enjoying the success of 'Kabali'. The film grossed nearly Rs 180 Cr in its opening weekend (Rs 120 Cr in India, Rs 65 Cr in overseas). This is highest ever first weekend collections for an Indian movie. Even Rajinikanth didn't expect such record openings.

Which is why he is overwhelmed by the love the fans and audiences showed on him and on his film. He thanked all in a letter that is issued to the media today.

He thanked the entire team of "Kabali", fans, media and the audiences for making the movie a grand success. He also said that he went to USA to take a break from work pressure. "As I worked simultaneously for two movies - 2.0 and Kabali, I felt I need a break. So I went off to the USA to take rest and also took treatement," he mentioned in the letter.

"Happy that I am back and experiencing the success of Kabali along with you here in India, in front of you," he added. He specially thanked the director Ranjith and producer Thanu.
