Anchor turned director Ohmkar has come up with Raju Gari Gadhi as his second movie. Like the title of the film, the movie has unusual concept. The film does entertain with some different concept and treatment.

There is a haunted bungalow which is in news for some mysterious activities happening there. A television crew wants to know more and decide to conduct an audition. The offer is any team that spends a week in that bungalow will win Rs 3 Crore. There is a team that makes it to the bungalow and they are Ashwin (Ashwin Babu), Dr. Nandan (Chetan Cheenu), Bala Tripurasundari (Dhanya Balakrishnan), Eeshanya (Barbi), Shivudu (Dhanraj), Bujjamma (Vidyulekha Raman) and Shakalaka Shankar. Now begins good comedy of how they spend a week in this haunted bungalow.

The first half is laced with comedy scenes and is definitely a fun galore. Sai Madhav’s dialogues entertain. He has written some awesome comedy for Shakalaka Shankar, Dhanraj and Vidyu.  What begins with such good comedy dips in the second half. The pace of the movie slows down, yet technically the film keeps us engaged.

The storyline of the film is nothing to rave about. But it is the narration that keeps us glued to the seats.

Ashwin Babu and Chetan Cheenu stand out in the lot. Dhanya and Poorna need a mention for their good acting. Others have given good support.  Like we said before Sai Madhav’s dialogues are a big plus in the film. The film would not be half as entertaining without his dialogues. Technically the film is neat, Sai Karthik’s music gels well with the movie. Two songs stand out. Cinematography is okay.

These days we are regularly seeing release of horror comedies. Hence director Ohmkar has concentrated on the treatment. It gives us something new and comes with lots of promise. Director Ohmkar has improved his direction skills too. He has packaged the movie well.

Bototm-line: Overall, Raju Gari Gadhi is a neat horror movie with good humor. Watch out for the comedy Shakalaka Shankar and Dhanraj.
