Robo 2: Bigger than Baahubali 1&2

The combined budget for two parts of Rajamouli’s mega movie Baahubali is estimated at Rs 250 Cr. While the first part is already released and set all-time new records, second part will be commencing shoot from December 14th at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

Now, Shankar has officially confirmed that he is making his next movie Robo 2 with more budget than the combined budget of Baahubali 1 & 2. The producers of the movie Lyca International have announced that the movie is going to be costliest ever movie made in India. In other words, the film will be made with more than Rs 250 Cr budget. When Shankar made Robo aka Enthiran with a budget of Rs 150 cr, it set new record in Indian movies now he is set to break the record created by Baahubali.

Director Shankar and superstar Rajinikanth are currently in USA to have discussions with Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger to convince him to play the antagonist role in the movie. Heroine will be finalized shortly. Deepika Padukone is the forerunner, though.

Robo 2 is all set to commence its regular shoot at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad from January 2016. Rehman is composing the film, while Baahubali and Robo fame Srinivas Mohan will be serving as Chief Visual Supervisor for the movie.
