Director Vamsi Paidipally whose recent film ‘Oopiri’ won great is now working on his next movie. The film is going to be an original story, not remake unlike his recent hit 'Oopiri'. And
'Oopiri' was remake of French movie ‘The Intouchables’ and he got name for his impeccable adaptation with Nagarjuna and Karthi in the lead roles.

So impressed by Vamsi’s deft handling of the subject, Nagarjuna asked him to direct his younger son Akhil’s second film. Paidipally agreed to direct a movie with Akhil but he is said to be not interested in remaking 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'. As Nagarjuna feels that this romantic youthful Bollywood story suits well for his son, he wants Vamsi to remake it.  But the director doesn’t want to stick to remakes as it would hamper his growth as the filmmaker.

He is said to have backed off this project and is now planning another film. Sources say he amicably parted ways on this with Nagarjuna and Akhil.

It remains to be seen with which hero he would go for his next film. Vamsi Paidipally has directed hit movies with NTR (Brindavanam) and Ram Charan (Yevadu).
