Writer Satyamurthy passes away, Tollywood mourns

Well-known writer Satyamurthy died of cardiac arrest. His son Devi Sri Prasad is famous music director. He suffered a heart attack and passed away this morning at his residence in Chennai. He was 61 and was survived by wife and two sons.

Known for his sharp dialogue writing, Satyamurthy was instrumental in success of many blockbusters in 1980's and 1990's. His first film was K Raghavendra Rao's Devatha. He wrote dialogues to many of Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu's hit movies. He was credited for writing many popular catchy phrases for Mohan Babu (ex: Bhale Donga).

We lost a good writer. I had good association with him. He worked for my films Bhale Donga and Bangaru Bullodu.
