'Ameerpet 2 America' is the film that is going to hit the screens this weekend. The film that is made by Bhanu Kiran and Rammohan Komanduri deals with a subject that every Telugu guy can easily be identified with.

It is quite common for Telugus to land in Ameerpet (a commercial locality in Hyderabad, where hundreds of IT coaching centers train the techies) to pursue their dollar dreams. NRI Vamsi Koduri is playing one of the lead roles in this youthful love story. Vamsi who is from Hyderabad is now well-settled in Chicago. Vamsi did act in many short films and some of them were selected for International Film Festivals. "The List", his short film, won appreciation at an International festival.

Vamsi is confident that he would get enough recognition for his acting talent in 'Ameerpet 2 America'. "I came to US nearly 13 years ago. I struggled in life, and succeeded. Acting has been my passion from teenage. I did my stint as side-actor in some films 18 years ago but I couldn't continue due to the societal pressures to settle in life. But the passion never died," Vamsi elaborates on how he landed in this movie.

A2A (Ameerpet to America) was extensively shot in Dallas, St Louis, Chicago and in Hyderabad. He played the role that every Engineering student can easily relate to. Meghana Lokesh is the pair for him in the film.

"A2A is a story that is Dollar Dreams of this time. Engineering students, techies and Telugu guys who have now settled in US can easily identify with the theme. It is youthful movie and also depicts the realities," Vamsi said about the movie. Vamsi who did courses in acting in USA also wrote and directed several short films is looking for roles in Telugu films.

Though he is settled in USA, he can come down to Hyderabad for shoots if the offers come his way.
