Actor Irrfan Khan passes away

Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan is no more. He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai with a colon infection yesterday. He breathed his last this morning. He was 53, survived by a wife and two sons.
One of the few Indian actors that are known to Hollywood audience as well, Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. He returned to India last year after getting treatment in London. He also completed the shooting of ‘Angrezi Medium’. He made a debut in Mira Nair’s ‘Salaam Bombay’ in 1988 and had played major roles in ‘Maqbool’, ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, ‘Piku’, and ‘Hindi Medium’.
He also played key roles in Hollywood productions such as ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ (2012), ‘Life of Pi’ , ‘Jurassic World’, and ‘Inferno’.
He also acted as villain in Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sainikudu’. Mahesh Babu tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the news of #IrrfanKhan's untimely demise. A brilliant actor gone too soon. He will be truly missed... My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP.”
Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “just getting news of the passing of Irfaan Khan .. this is a most disturbing and sad news .. An incredible talent .. a gracious colleague .. a prolific contributor to the World of Cinema .. left us too soon .. creating a huge vacuum.”
