After a decade, Maniratnam shoots abroad

Mani Ratnam is shooting for his ‘Kaatru Veliyidai’ a romantic film, staring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari. The popular director makes it a point never to shoot aborad unless it is totally important. Last time he shot aborad was for the film ‘Guru’.
 
Almost a decade later Maniratnam along with his team will be shooting in Bulgaria. The requirement is a snow clad mountain for a song. With a week’s shooting pending, in all probablity the film will be wrapped up this November. A R Rahman will score the music for this film.
