Actor Vishal’s nomination for RK Nagar by-election in Tamil Nadu was accepted. The election officials had earlier rejected his nomination papers as they found the nomination papers don’t meet the rules and regulations. Vishal staged a dharna crying foul on the road in front of the Election Commission office. Police took him to custody and later released.

After much drama, Vishal announced that his nomination was accepted. "After much struggle, my nomination for the RK Nagar election is finally accepted.... Truth Always Triumphs !! #JusticeServed #DemocracyPrevails" the actor tweeted.

Vishal, one of the leading actors of South India, is contesting the by-polls as Independent candidate. His next release would be ‘Abhimanyudu’ which is scheduled for Sankranthi.
