Tollywood's top director S S Rajmouli appreciated the current sensational movie 'Arjun Reddy' and praised hero Vijay Devarakonda's performance and Sandeep Vanga's direction. On the same day, congress leader VH said the film is spoiling the youth and wanted an immediate ban on its screenings.

Rajamouli tweeted, "Just saw Arjun Reddy. Though love stories are not my cup of tea, can't but appreciate the film. Top notch performance by Vijay Devarakonda. He just lived it." Rajamouli also appreciated other cast and crew's work, "Not just him, Shalini, the friends, everyone were so good and natural. Very good background score and fine photography."

He also complimented new director Sandeep." Very well written dialogues. Full credit to the Director Sandeep Vanga, who handled his cast and crew like a pro. Heartiest congratulations to the team for the blockbuster success..:)"

On the other hand congress leader VH has been after this movie from before the release. He seems to have watched the film recently and now is demanding ban as it has contained scenes of protagonist taking drugs and kissing heroine umpteen times.
