Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2017 youthful drama ‘Arjun Reddy’ is a trendsetter. Two years after its release, the movie is still attracting heated arguments. While feminist critics and woke analysts of Bollywood slammed the film’s Hindi version for it “misogynist” and “sick” hero’s characterization, the film is continuing to strike a chord with the youngsters all over India.

‘Adithya Varma’, the Tamil remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’, is also turning out to be an above-average grosser. The Tamil version introduced Vikram’s son Dhruv as the hero. It became a perfect launchpad for Dhruv Vikram.

On another hand, Malayalam actress Parvathy in a roundtable discussion slammed the movie for its ‘content’. So, one way or the other way, ‘Arjun Reddy’ is becoming a discussion point even today.
