Assistants felicitate top director Shankar

Director Shankar made debut with 'Gentleman' which was released exactly 25 years ago. The film was released on July 30, 1993. As Shankar completes 25 years of directing his career, his former assistants’ felicitated him in big way.

Shankar later tweeted: "Overwhelmed by the affection showed by my assistants. Without you all my journey wouldn’t be possible."

Some of his former associates who are present were Balaji Shakthivel ("Premisthe" director), Vasantha Balan, Atlee ("Adirindi", "Raja Rani").

Shankar is considered as one of the top directors in India with many blockbusters to his credit that include 'Bharateeyudu', 'Premikudu', 'Jeans', 'Oke Okkadu', 'Aparichitudu', 'Sivaji', 'Robo Enthiran' and 'I'.

He is currently wrapping up '2.0'.
