‘Avengers: Endgame’ got re-released last weekend with extra footage. The reason for its second release is to topple the all-time record of James Cameroon’s ‘Avatar’. However, the film has not able to score much in the last weekend.

It still needs $26 million to reach to the collections of ‘Avatar’ which seem to be a daunting task. As things stand today, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ will settle as second highest-grosser of all time worldwide and it will not topple ‘Avatar’ record.

‘Avatar’ grossed $2.87 billion worldwide. On other hand, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ grossed $7.5 million last weekend worldwide and it stands with $2.761 billion. The joke among trade circles is that the film needs another couple of re-releases to fill the $26 million gap to reach to ‘Avatar’.
