Nandamuri Balakrishna was offered to play a police officer in the Telugu remake of ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ but he reportedly rejected it outrightly. He is not doing the movie.

The film’s remake rights were bagged by Sithara Entertainments. Now that Balayya turned down it, the production house is now hunting for another senior star.

‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the original version. Rana may reprise the role that was played by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The remake needs a senior star to essay the role played by Biju Menon.
