Big producers minting money with Satellite rights

Tollywood producers are enjoying the extra amount that they are getting with the satellite and digital rights. Last year, many producers suffered losses due to slump in satellite channels market but this year all channels are on buying spree. Though the entertainment channels are not buying small movies, they are paying huge money to the big star productions.
Recently, Mahesh Babu's movie 'Spyder' created new record when its satellite rights were snapped up by Zee TV network for whopping Rs 26 Cr. The network bagged rights of all language versions of this movie - Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. This is windfall for the producers.
Currently, Pawan Kalyan - Trivikram's movie is under progress and the movie is expected to be sold for Rs 18 Cr (only Telugu version). Recently, Pawan's 'Katamarayudu' was bought for Rs 12.5 Cr.
On the other hand, Megastar Chiranjeevi's comeback movie 'Khaidi No 150' was bought for Rs 19 Cr (Rs 13 Cr for Telugu and Rs 6 Cr for Hindi version) by Star Group.
In comparison, Rajamouli's epic film was sold for cheaper price. While "Baahubali 2" Hindi version bought for record Rs 50 Cr, the Telugu version went for lower price. Star Maa TV snapped the satellite rights of both 'Baahubali' and 'Bahubali 2' together for Rs 30 Cr only. This deal was inked just after the release of first part, so it went for such lower amount.
