Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor passes away

Bollywood legendary actor Rishi Kapoor is no more. Rishi today breathed his last at the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. He had been suffering from illness. He was admitted to the hospital last week. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and got treated in New York.

He was 67 and survived by wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir Kapoor, and daughter Ridhima Kapoor.

Rishi Kapoor was the son of Indian cinema’s doyen Raj Kapoor and made his debut as a child artiste. The evergreen heartthrob debuted as a lead hero in ‘Bobby’, a blockbuster. He had acted in hundreds of movies. His son Ranbir Kapoor is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood today.

Tributes are pouring in. Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor’s closest friend, tweeted, “He's GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away ..I am destroyed!”

Tollywood stars like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, and Mahesh Babu also paid their tributes.
