Caste lobbying played big role in Nandi Awards: Producer Bujji

The controversy surrounding Nandi Awards is not dying down yet. Joining chorus against the Nandi Awards Jury and AP government, producer Nallamalupu Bujji, whose production 'Racegurram' got raw deal in popular film awards category and other technical categories, openly said celebrities from a dominate caste lobbied hard for their community actors and technicians.
"Kamma lobbying worked big time," he pointed without mincing words, directly referring that Balakrishna, Mahesh Babu and NTR (all belonging to same community) preferred over other caste heroes like Prabhas and Allu Arjun.
He mentioned that AP Government and the jury members killed hopes of genuine filmmakers. He also blasted producer C Kalyan for commenting that filmmakers should not hit roads just because they didn't receive awards."First ask him to make at least one hit movie in his life," Bujji lambasted.
On the other hand, director Gunasekhar gave clarification that he didn't apply Allu Arjun's name in the column of character artiste as someone alleged.
