Chalam's Maidanam into a web series!

‘Maidanam’ which is considered as the most influential work of the great writer Chalam, is now turning into a web drama. The novel is being filmed into a web drama by director Venu Udugula, who shot to fame with ‘Needi Naadi Oke Katha’. He is now directing ‘Virata Parvam’ with Rana in the lead role.

‘Maidanam’ will be directed one of his assistants while he will produce it for a streaming company.

‘Maidanam’ that dealt with the story of a man and woman who disregard societal norms created a huge controversy when it was published in 1927. ‘Maidnam’ tells the story of Rajeshwari and Ameer’s passionate relationship. Rajeswari is a housewife and Ameer is her lawyer husband's client. They set out on a journey filled with love and lust.
