Actor Karthi officially announced the release date of Mani Rathnam's 'Cheliyaa'. He said that 7th April has been locked for both Tamil and Telugu versions. Dil Raju is presenting the movie in Telugu. Starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles, this romantic drama is set in the backdrop of Indo-Pak border. Karthi is playing a pilot in Indian Airforce, while Aditi is to be seen as a doctor. Rehman's songs have already become popular. 

The team is planning to hold a promotional event later this month in Hyderabad.
