Corona: Chiranjeevi halts Acharya shoot

Megastar Chiranjeevi has stopped the shooting of his current film ‘Acharya’ following the advisory issued by governments. Telangana Chief Minister KCR asked people to avoid large gatherings. This is a preventive measure to contain the spread of coronavirus.
The government has decided to close all educational institutions, cinema theatres, clubs, bars, zoos, amusement centers starting from March 15 till March 31st. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao announced these decisions after a Cabinet meeting on Saturday.
Following this, Megastar Chiranjeevi too voluntarily has stopped the shooting of his movie and he also urged other filmmakers to follow the same. “This is everyone’s responsibility. I request all the producers to postpone the shootings for another 10 to 15 days since shootings require manpower of 100 to 200 people. Avoiding large-scale gathering is important to contain the spread of coronavirus,” Chiranjeevi said in a statement.
He also appreciated the efforts of Modi and KCR governments in containing the spread of the coronavirus and also hoped that Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan would also take appropriate decisions based on the prevailing conditions in the state.
‘Acharya’ is a film that stars Megastar Chiranjeevi in the titular character. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film is produced by Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy.
