Veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao's health condition is improving. A statement was released by Dr Bollineni Bhaskar Rao, Director, KIMS, regarding his health.

The statement read,  "Veteran Film Director Dasari Narayana Rao garu, who has been operated on for kidney failure, sepsis and respiratory failure, is responding positively for the treatment being administered. His health is being constantly monitored by a team of experts and everything that is required to ensure his speedy recovery will be done."
