Day 1: Katamarayudu creates records

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's 'Katamarayudu' took box-office by storm. The movie set all-time new records in areas like Uttarandhra, Guntur, East Godavari and Nellore.
Even in other areas, the movie has come close to setting records. Overall, Powerstar's box-office power is evident with this movie too. The film is reportedly collected Rs 4.90 Cr in Nizam, Rs 3 Cr in Ceded and about Rs 14.50 Cr in Andhra area on Day 1. This is second biggest ever openings amount for a Telugu movie in AP and Telangana states.
In USA, the movie has already grossed more than 600k dollars and is heading towards one million dollars.
