Day 1: Majili takes strong openings

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha's 'Majili' took very good openings on the first day. As this is the first film to hit the screens this summer season, it took the advantage at the box-office. Its opening numbers are very impressive.

In USA, it grossed $311,255 (Premiere+Friday), which is best opening for a Chaitanya starrer.

The film is expected to continue the same trend this entire weekend. This comes as a huge relief to Naga Chaitanya who is struggling to deliver big hit. Despite average and mixed reviews, it's performing well. The paying public seems to have excused its slow narration and old-fashioned content.

Shiva Nirvana has directed this film while Shine Creations produced it.
