Director Hari regrets glorifying police in films

Director Hari is popular for glorifying the police force in his super hit movies like ‘Yamudu’ (Singam). However, he now admits that regrets depicting the police’s brutal force in his movies as a heroic act.
In his films, police officers defy all the guidelines, acts, and beat up the people mindlessly, not caring about courts or following the natural justice system.

After social media outraged seeking justice for shopkeeper Jeyaraj and his son Fenix who were allegedly killed in police custody in Thoothukudi in Tamilnadu, and #JusticeForJeyarajAndFenix trended on social media, the director sent a press note saying that he’s regretting the scenes in his films.

Hari is the director of films such as Suriya’s ‘Yamudu’ and writer of Balakrishna’s ‘Lakshmi Narasimha’.
