DJ turns blockbuster on Television

Harish Shankar directed Allu Arjun starrer 'DJ Duvvada Jagannadham' scored massive television rating points in its premiere on Zee TV. The film was premiered on TV last week and it got whopping 21.7 points, which is all-time highest third TVR for a Telugu movie after 'Baahubali The Beginning' (23) and 'Baahubali The Conclusion' (22.7).

Despite mixed reactions from critics and audiences, the film grossed huge amount in the theaters and it collected more than Rs 20 Cr in Nizam area alone. Now the movie has become blockbuster on TV. 

Compared to the ratings that 'Baahubali 2' achieved in its premiere, ratings of 'DJ' are more impressive. Despite being all-time number one movie and huge craze among the public, 'Baahubali 2' that made with Rs 200 Cr budget didn't even cross the ratings of its first part. Whereas films like 'DJ' that is made with Rs 55 Cr and 'Fidaa' (Rs 17 Cr budgeted flick) have received huge patronage from Telly audiences. 

'DJ Duvvada Jagannadham' has peppy music by Devi Sri Prasad and 'Namakam Chamakam' song from this film had created huge controversy before the release.
