Taking an initiative of helping daily wage workers of the film industry and also holding meetings to discuss the ways to handle the post-corona situation, Megastar Chiranjeevi took the center stage of all the activity in Tollywood lately. But this has landed him in controversies after Balakrishna making some strong comments against Chiranjeevi.

Deeply hurt by Balakrishna’s comments, Megastar Chiranjeevi has now stopped all the meetings and further activity. Chiranjeevi has been proactive until now to seek permission from the government for the resumption of shoots. But he and his director Koratala Siva planned to resume the shoot of ‘Acharya’ later this month. However, our sources have informed that he’d now wait until August. He’s not in a mood to begin the shoot immediately due to these controversies.

‘Acharya’ has been facing delays in production right from the pre-production stage. Director Koratala Siva is feeling restless.

Starring Chiranjeevi as a professor with leftist ideology and Ram Charan in a lengthy guest role, ‘Acharya’ is produced by Niranjan Reddy in association with Konidela Productions. Kajal Aggarwal has signed to play the female lead. Mani Sharma is composing the music.
