Get ready for a fecund February!

After a month with no releases on two Fridays, thanks to 'Khaidi No. 150', 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' and 'Shatamanam Bhavati' ruling the roost, February is going to be a productive month in terms of releases. Every week has more than one exciting release.

It's a busy February

On Feb 3rd, 'Nenu Local', 'Lakshmi Bomb' and 'Kanu Papa' will hit the screens. Dil Raju-produced 'Nenu Local' releases amid cool expectations, especially because both Nani and Keerthy Suresh are in pakka form. Director Trinadha Rao Nakkina has the biggest release in his career. 'Lakshmi Bomb' sees Lakshmi Manchu in the role of a lawyer. In addition to comedy, the film has elements of fantasy. 'Kanu Papa', the dubbed version of the Malayalam hit 'Oppam', will be awaited by the discerning audience. Mohanlal in the role of a blind man embroiled in a murder mystery, this sensible entertainer is directed by the acclaimed director Priyadarshan.

Singam 3, Om Namo Venkateshaya....

On Feb 9th, Suriya will finally roar at the box office after two postponements of his movie 'S3'. This one will release simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Right from Anushka and Shruti Haasan to Harris Jayaraj and the genre, this mass entertainer is surely a favorite.

On the following day, on Feb 10th, Nagarjuna will meet the devotional audience. In 'Om Namo Venkatesaya', he will literally play with Lord Balaji, played by Saurabh Jain. As Haathi Ram Baba, Nag will hopefully mesmerize us with his performance. K Raghavendra Rao's fans could well have a feast. Anushka will be a back-to-back release in this movie.

On the same day, Anjali's 'Chitrangada' will finally hit the screens after a delay of several months. Directed by Ashok G of 'Pilla Jamindaru', this Telugu-Tamil bilingual is set in the US. Powered by CG, it has Sindhu Tulani, Sapthagiri and Raksha in other key roles.

Rana and Raj Tharun

On Feb 17th, the folks are going to be treated with large doses of fun and patriotism. Raj Tarun-Anu Emmanuel's 'Kittu Unnadu Jagratha' is a fun-filled entertainer which sees the hero in the role of a curious thief, with him stealing dogs! In 'Gunturodu', Manchu Manoj is going to frighten his villain Sampath Raj. Pragya Jaiswal's second release next month after 'ONV', this film has Rajendra Prasad in a key role. On the same day, Rana Daggubati-starrer 'Ghazi', a Hindi-Telugu-Tamil tri-lingual will tell the story of a less-known Indo-Pak battle that happened in 1971 near the shores of Vizag. This is the first submarine war film in India's history is directed by Telugu guy Sankalp (debutante) and has Chiranjeevi's voice-over!

Sivaratri special

On Feb 24th, Sai Dharam Tej will emerge with 'Winner'. This Gopichand Malineni film sees him in two shades, while Rakul Preet Singh is the heroine. The teaser portrays him as a gutsy young chap warning the baddies.

All in all, get ready for a fecund February!
