B Gopal, the director once ruled the movie industry with super hits, is directing Gopichand now. He launched this movie with Gopichand and Nayanathara as the lead pair two years ago but it ran into problems. It has now been revived and the movie's name and first look poster will be released on Deepavali festival.

This movie is being made on Jaya Balajee Real Media Pvt Ltd. Music is by Mani Sharma. In a statement, producer Tandra Ramesh said, "We have plans to release audio in November and the movie in December. Except climax, entire production work is done."

'Balam' is the title being considered for it.
