Harish Shankar: New Asmaika song in next batch of CDs

A fresh row happened over the song of "Asmaika" in "Duvvada Jagannadham" as Brahmin Associations raised a point that the recently launched audio CDs still does have the objectionable lyrics. Brahmin Associations objected to the use of "Namakam Chamakam" in the song and both director Harish Shankar and producer Dil Raju have come forward to change the lyrics.
On June 11, the movie's audio was released and Brahmin Associations found that the audio albums still have the old song. So, they lodged a complaint this to Censor Board asking the board not to grant the certification till the lyrics are changed.
Director Harish Shankar has put an end to this whole controversy by stressing that the objectionable lyrics will not be heard in the movie. The new song with the changed lyrics will also be released in new batch of audio CD's, he said.
"We have voluntarily decided to replace the controversial phrases from "Asmaika" song. The song in the film will be with replaced lyrics as promised by us when it first came to our notice. The 2nd bunch of audio CDs will be rolled out with the replaced lyrics, (sic)" he tweeted.
Earlier in the day, he also expressed his gratitude to Allu Arjun and producer Dil Raju for making this journey a memorable. He said the film's last shot was filmed today.
"DJ is that one special film for me where I pushed myself as a writer and director to deliver the best. As a result came up with a one of its kind climax. Am sure you guys will have a blast in the theaters. Mark your calendars it's June 23 rd," he tweeted.
Allu Arjun is the hero of "Duvvada Jagannadham". Pooja Hegde is the heroine.
