High Court stalls the release of Kamma Rajayamlo Kadapa Reddlu

Ram Gopal Varma’s political thriller ‘Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Reddlu’ will not release on November 29. The film’s release has been stalled by Telangana High Court. A petitioner filed a case against the film urging to stop the movie’s release as the title and content flames caste wars. In an affidavit, CBFC informed High Court the film was not given clearance. Court ordered the board to watch the film in a week and do the necessary changes to the movie’s objectionable content.

The makers have informed the court that they have changed the movie’s controversial title to ‘Amma Rajyamlo Kadapa Biddalu’ but the court refused to clear the release since it has not obtained the censor certificate.

The movie will undergo many cuts.
