Income Tax raids on Sunil Narang, Asian Cinemas

The Income Tax department on Tuesday carried out raids on the residences and offices of Sunil Narang and Narayana Das Narang, producers and distributors. Their Asian Cinemas has multiple interests in the movie business - distribution, film production, and theater business. They are also partners with Mahesh Babu in AMB Cinemas, a multiplex mall in Gachibowli in Hyderabad.

Sunil Narang has begun producing films of late. His maiden production is a romantic drama starring Naga Chaitanya and Sail Pallavi in the direction of Sekhar Kammula. Sunil Narang has also given huge advances to several directors and actors in the hope of producing big movies.
