It's official: Vijay Deverakonda finally shelves Hero

‘Hero’, a film that was launched with much fanfare a year ago, has now officially been shelved. ‘Hero’ wrapped up a big schedule last year in Delhi but the production house Mythri Movie Makers put the movie on hold after the new director Anand Annamalai spent nearly Rs 5 crore on a single schedule. The output was also not to their satisfaction. As ‘Dear Comrade’ bombed, the movie was put on hold.
However, just a month ago, Vijay Deverakonda informed Anand Annamalai to start working on this project to commence the shoot again. But now, he has changed his mind. After the failure of ‘World Famous Lover’, Vijay has come to the conclusion that he needs to slow down and get his career back on track. Thus, he shelved the film completely.
Vijay Deverakonda is now completely focusing on Puri Jagannadh’s boxing drama. After that, he will work on Shiva Nirvana’s love story for Dil Raju’s production. Vijay Deverakonda may do another film for Mythri Movie Makers to compensate for the losses on ‘Hero’.
