Kamal Haasan faces criticism over his statement

The mishap on the sets of ‘Indian 2’ which left three technicians dead and 10 injured indicated that the safety of the workers and technicians in the cine industry is still questionable. ‘Indian 2’, which stars Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal, is being directed by Shankar and the film’s shoot has been stopped for a while.
While donating Rs 1 crore to the family of the deceased, Kamal Haasan lamented that the Indian film industry has still not learned to provide safety measures. As soon as he made these comments, a barrage of tweets against him appeared on Twitter. The majority of the people attacked him for not making any efforts to improve things in the industry though he has been active for more than 50 years in the movie business.
“We take pride in saying that a movie is made on so-and-so crore budget and I personally feel ashamed to say that we couldn't provide safety to the people who work for the film,” he was quoted saying.
Now that he’s become a politician, he is facing more criticism.
