Kamal Haasan finally beginning another film

The much-hyped sequel to ‘Bharateeyudu’ has been scrapped. Due to budget problems, Lyca Productions has put aside the ‘Bharateeyudu 2’/’Indian 2’ that was launched in the combination of director Shankar, actors Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal. Lyca Productions has now joined hands with Kamal Haasan to produce a medium-budget movie named ‘Thalaivan Irukkindraan’. 

Incidentally, this film was originally planned as ‘Amar Hai’ with Saif Ali Khan but later it was shelved. Kamal Haasan is reviving it and he hints that he would act in this film.

A R Rahman has come on board to provide the film’s music. They are teaming up after 19 years. The last film they had worked together is ‘Tenali’ (2000).
