Now that ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’, the most-awaited period patriotic drama from Megastar Chiranjeevi, has wrapped up its entire shoot, the buyers are vying to grab the theatrical rights for various territories in India. Some areas have already been completed business deals on verbal agreement but now pre-release business deals are being closed with proper agreement and advance amounts.

The latest we hear is that Karnataka rights were bagged for whopping Rs 32 Cr. The deal was closed.

This is second highest amount for a Telugu film to receive for Karnataka’s theatrical rights after ‘Baahubali 2’. This shows how much hype and interest the movie has generated in other language markets as well. The presence of Sudeep in one of the main roles has also helped the film to get such massive price for the Kannada region. And of course, Chiranjeevi is the most-admired Telugu star in Karnataka.

‘Sye Raa’ is produced by Ram Charan on Konidela Productions banner and it will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages simultaneously. October 2nd has been locked as its release date.

Featuring Nayanthara and Tamannah as the female lead actors, the movie has been filmed on lavish scale with more than Rs 200 Cr budget. Surender Reddy has directed the film. Amitabh Bachchan, Sudeep and Vijay Sethupathi will appear in important roles in this patriotic drama that tells the story of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the freedom warrior in Kurnool who led rebellion against the British authorities.
