Katamarayudu

'Katamarayudu' is a special movie for Pawan Kalyan's fans for well-known reasons. He is playing the role of 'Katamarayudu', which is very popular name thanks to 'Atharintiki Daaredi' and also the trailer has crossed 10 million views. And Pawan Kalyan will be turning full-fledged politician in the coming years, so he won't be doing many movies. That's why, the film and its promotions have been closely watched by the media. Many seem to have missed the perfect planning that went in creating the buzz around it.

From the beginning, the makers have avoided over hyping about the mass entertainer. They have been modest and balanced in their approach to publicize about 'Katamarayudu'.

Before releasing the First Look, they released a series of pre-FL posters, which gave a glimpse of Pawan's dignified village man's look.  The audience now knew that he will be seen as a typical filmi Rayudu!  The film created a lot of buzz on social media with its posers, still or motion.  All of this went as per a plan. After the First Look in January, which revealed Power Star's powerful moustache and sharp looks, the makers went on to release a teaser in February.Packed with a punchline and a glimpse of the hero's intro shot, the teaser became a massive hit.  It even became Tollywood's first One Crore Teaser.

Later on, the makers started releasing the songs one after one.  The title track 'Mira Mira Meesam' set the tone. It didn't take much time in becoming a big hit with the listeners.  So far, it has got a record 5 million views. The audience were constantly buoyed with a song each every two days. Then came the theatrical trailer during the pre-release event, held six days before the theatrical release.

Without a gap, the movie has been promoted cleverly and without unnecessary hype. This planned approach has been able to generate a lot of positive vibes around the movie.  It is expected to get terrific openings.

Pawan's movies naturally have a high hype.Despite Kishore Pardasani (Dolly) being no star director, if 'Katamarayudu' is such a massively awaited movie, the credit must go to the PR and production team of North Star Entertainment.
